The Project

Creating a state-of-the-art regional hub for wellness, sports, and play on Brunswick Landing

The Midcoast Athletic & Recreation Complex (MARC) project grew out of a grassroots group of Brunswick residents passionate about sports and recreation. We noticed that our community lacked certain recreation facilities that we've seen benefit other small towns across the state and nation.

In 2020, the U.S. Navy conveyed a 10-acre parcel on Brunswick Landing to the Town of Brunswick for specifically for recreation purposes.

An advisory committee was launched in summer 2021 with the mission to dream big and create a plan to bring more sports, athletic, and recreation opportunities to kids, adults, seniors, and families in the Region.
