Big Fun for Little Ones at the MARC Playground

The Midcoast Athletic Recreation Complex (MARC) is for more than just sports, it’s a place for families to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors together! Our playground area was designed especially for young children ages 0–5, giving little ones a safe and exciting place to climb, slide, imagine, and have fun.

For our youngest visitors, there is a separate play area just for ages 0–2 featuring a cozy playhouse and sandbox perfect for early exploration and sensory play. Whether you’re stopping by after a game, meeting friends, or simply looking for a fun outdoor activity, the playground is a great spot for kids to burn energy and make memories.

Families can also enjoy picnic tables tucked under the trees next to the playground, offering plenty of shade and the perfect spot to relax or enjoy a picnic lunch. The playground area is stroller-friendly with flat walking surfaces throughout, making it easy for families with young children to explore comfortably.

Looking for a little extra movement? A dirt walking path circles the perimeter of the MARC, providing a great option for walking, jogging, or getting in some added exercise while the kids play.

Visitors will also find plenty of convenient parking available in both the front and back parking lots. Bathrooms are available inside the recreation center during regular facility hours for added convenience.
