Construction Has Begun on the MARC Basketball Courts!

Exciting progress is happening at the Midcoast Athletic and Recreation Complex (MARC)! Construction has officially begun on the new outdoor basketball courts, marking another major milestone in the continued growth of this community recreation destination.

If you've visited the MARC recently, you've likely noticed the fenced construction area and equipment on site. Work is now underway, and we're excited to watch this next phase take shape over the coming months.

The groundwork has begun! The future home of the MARC basketball courts is officially under construction.

The MARC Remains Open

While construction is in progress, the MARC remains open for regular public use. The walking loop, playground, pickleball courts, skatepark, and other existing amenities are all available for visitors to enjoy.

We kindly ask everyone to use extra caution while visiting the complex, as construction vehicles and equipment will be entering and exiting the site throughout the project. Please respect all fencing, signage, and designated construction areas to help keep everyone safe.

Looking Ahead

The addition of the basketball courts is another exciting step toward creating a vibrant recreation hub for residents and visitors of all ages. Once completed, the courts will provide a dedicated space for pickup games, youth programs, and community recreation, further expanding the opportunities available at the MARC.
