Don't Miss It: The 2025 MARC 5K & Fun Run is Almost Here!

The countdown is on! In just a few weeks, the MARC will come alive with the sound of footsteps, cheering crowds, and lots of Brunswick spirit. On Saturday, June 28, runners, walkers, and families from across the community will gather at the Midcoast Athletic & Recreation Complex for one of our favorite events of the year: the MARC 5K & Fun Mile.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or someone who just wants to be part of a feel-good day, this event has something for everyone!

The day kicks off at 8:30 AM with the 5K race - a chance to challenge yourself, support local recreation, and run alongside friends and neighbors.

Then at 9:15 AM, the Fun Mile Walk/Run invites participants of all ages to join in a relaxed, inclusive loop around the MARC. No timers, no pressure - just movement, community, and fun. Best of all? The Fun Mile is completely free!

After the final finishers cross the line, the morning will wrap up with awards and a special celebration: the ribbon cutting for our brand-new playground designed for children ages 0–5. Families are encouraged to stick around for the ceremony at 10:00 AM, complete with complimentary ice cream and temporary tattoos for the kids (and the kids at heart).
